One person’s sacrifice can make the difference for all involved—and one person’s decision to act selfishly can lead to disaster, which is what ultimately happened when Adam and Eve chose to eat from the forbidden tree rather than sacrifice their own desires to taste the one fruit that God commanded them not to eat.
